Roe v. Wade was a historic decision by the United States Supreme Court that stated that the US constitution gives women the right to choose an abortion. The decision was voted 7-2 in favor of Roe, the woman who wanted to abort her pregnancy, with the concurring justices opining that the right to abortion is conferred by the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment of the constitution.
Recently, on June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs v. Jackson case.
