When did Arnold Schwarzenegger first step foot in America?
Arnold Schwarzenegger went from a young Austrian with a dream to a household name in America. Nothing personifies the American Dream more than the story of Schwarzenegger. He first stepped foot in the US in 1968, at the age of 21, speaking little English. He first found success in bodybuilding, becoming Mr. Olympia in 1970. He would go on to win the title a total of seven times, becoming a legend in bodybuilding.
His success in bodybuilding gave him a ticket to Hollywood, where he became one of the highest paid actors, starring in blockbuster films. Not stopping at that, Schwarzenegger entered politics and became the Governor of California in 2003.
