My Favorite Martian was one of the first “fantasy comedies” paving the way for shows such as Bewitched and I dream of Jeannie. Klaatu’s iconic line “Klaatu barada nikto” in The Day the Earth Stood Still is listed by the Robot Hall of Fame as “one of the most famous commands in science fiction.”

“Uncle Martin”, real name Exigius 12½ was an 400 year old anthropologist from Mars. I love his crazy inventions! Storing memories in a pill you can take whenever you need to recall something is a great idea!
Klaatu
Klaatu was a peaceful ambassador who, after an unfortunate misunderstanding went incognito as “Carpenter”. I love the idea of intergalactic peace enforced by the threat of being reduced to a burned- out cinder. Klaatu barada nikto!
