Former President Donald Trump is trying to prevent Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis from becoming the Republican nominee for president in 2024. Trump has been attacking DeSantis in recent days, and he held a town hall on CNN on Wednesday night that his allies believe will help him maintain his lead in the polls. Trump’s team has also been working to blunt any potential momentum around a DeSantis candidacy by rolling out a slew of Republican congressional endorsements, many coming from the Florida delegation.
