It was marketed towards toddlers and was created by Fisher-Price. Its first release in 1950 was a set of three little people figures and a fire truck. Throughout the years more sets and toys were added to the line, like airplanes, rowboats, and the famous Safety School Bus. But its most common feature was always the Little People play figures.
