For those who grew up with computers as their hobby, BASIC will surely be familiar to them. Its first iteration was created in 1964 by the trio of professors from Dartmouth college, who wanted their students who were not in scientific and computer fields to more easily use computers. And throughout the years more dialects were created, like Tiny BASIC, Atari BASIC; and Microsoft BASIC, which led to Quick BASIC, and which finally led to Microsoft’s Visual Basic.
