Who was the designer of the Vince Lombardi Trophy?
The Vince Lombardi Trophy is the trophy given to the annual winners of the Super Bowl. It was designed by Oscar Reidner, of the renowned jewelry company, Tiffany & Co. Reidner didn’t actually know anything about football, and may have never even watched a game in his entire life. To learn it, he had to buy a football from the toy store on the day he met NFL commissioner, Pete Rozelle. He then presented his design on a napkin during their lunch meeting.
