Which US company brought us the Hula Hoops in the 50s?

The 50s brought us some nice and innovative toys – the Hula Hoops is one of them. It was marketed and sold by Wham-O starting from 1958. It was patented in the year 1963. The toy, which is basically a hoop made of plastic, is twirled around the waist, neck, or limbs to mesmerize onlookers. It became popular all around the world in the 50s.
