How tall was André the Giant?
Size is often an advantage and an attraction to anyone that wants to enter professional wrestling. That couldn’t be truer for André Roussimoff, also known by his stage name André the Giant. Standing at 7 ft 4 in, André was a towering giant with hands the size of a football. He was booked by Vincent J. McMahon of the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) in1973. Eventually, he would feud with Hulk Hogan and beat him for his first WWF championship in 1988.
André was dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World for his incredible size. Did you ever see him perform live when you were young? Did you find it hard to believe a man of his size?
