What was Arnold Schwarzenegger's debut film?
Once Arnold Schwarzenegger had reached the peak in bodybuilding, it was time for him to find success in something else. And he did: he entered Hollywood and soon became one of its biggest stars.
However, it was neither Pumping Iron nor Conan the Barbarian that was his first movie. It was a little-known film called Hercules in New York, which was released in 1970. Arnold plays the leading role of Hercules – no doubt due to his godlike physique – who, as the movie name says, ends up in New York. The movie, made on a budget of $300,000, was not really good, to put it mildly, which is why no one gave it a second thought.
