Gumby was one of the cultural icons of the 50s. And kids of the time will surely remember him. He was a green humanoid clay figure who was created through stop-motion clay animation. Accompanying him his posse of friends (who were also clay figures), including his sidekick pony, Pokey. He was created by Art Clokey, and appeared on his own tv show, The Gumby Show, which first aired on NBC in 1956.
