You may recall this TV show from the 70s. Lynda Carter won many hearts with her portrayal of Wonder Woman in the show. It was probably one of the first times that a strong female character was cast on TV. The TV series ran for a total of 3 seasons, from 1976 to 1979.
The first season aired on ABC and was set in World War 2. Even though season 1 had good ratings, ABC stalled producing the show for a second season citing the increased expenses of a 1940s period piece, thus the show was given to rival network CBS, which resulted in a title change.
