From which building did the Beatles play their infamous Rooftop Concert?
This unannounced concert was the last live public performance of the Beatles as a group. It was done as part of their effort to restore unity to the band. They performed on the rooftop of their Apple Corps Headquarters at 3 Savile Row, London.
Most of the audience were people who had gone out for lunch. They played for 42-minutes before the police told them to keep it down. The songs they performed included the ones they were currently recording for their Let it Be album, like “Get Back,” and “I’ve Got a Feeling.”
