Most of you might have been still below the legal age to gamble at the time, but if your family was well-off enough, you might have had a chance to book a room at Caesars Palace. This hotel and casino was the brainchild of hotelier, Jay Sarno, and was one of the first glitzy and opulent casinos on the strip that truly catered to wealthy players. It featured rich Roman decor like columns and statues of Roman gods and emperors. And throughout the years it has also featured world-class sporting events and musical performances of world-renowned artists.
