A newly purchased Furby will exclusively speak in ‘Furbish’, a language unique to Furbies. However, over time it will ‘learn’ to speak in English. They also have the ability to move their eyes, mouths, and ears.
Between 2005 and 2007, Hasbro sold an upgraded version of Furby called Emoto-Tronic Furby that featured voice recognition and complex facial movements. Also, in 2012, an upgraded Furby that had LCD eyes and a mobile app was released.
